Bristol has long been a centre for exciting and underground new music, producing such luminaries as Portishead and Roni Size and his Reprazent crew. These days, the basslines rumbling through the city are even deeper, as Bristol is increasingly becoming a hotbed for a new wave of innovative dubstep and grime producers.

Heading up this movement is Subloaded – Bristol’s answer to FWD/DMZ. On Friday 7th August the Subloaded gang are heading to the capital for a night to show us Londoners how it’s done. We Fear Silence will be leaving their usual home of The Arches and heading to Corsica Studios for this party, as the underground, intimate vibe of Corsica is perfect for the Subloaded sound.

On Sunday August 30th, Warm return for their final tenth anniversary special of 2009. For this very special event we have brought together some of the key artists from the Warm Agency to help us celebrate the bank holiday in style and go out with a bang!

In Room 1 we welcome Innervisions’ very own favourites, Henrik Schwarz who will be playing one of his legendary live sets alongside DJ sets from Dixon, Marcus Worgull and good friend and head honcho of Running Back, Gerd Janson. All four artists will take over room one all night long and all in their own right have made a huge impact on the music scene over the past few years so to bring them all together under one-roof is really something we are very excited about!

In Room 2 we welcome Beats in Space and DFA’s very own Tim Sweeney who continues week in week out to provide a radio master class with his show direct from NYC featuring artists from around the globe such as Carl Craig, Ame, James Murphy and many more! Alongside Mr Sweeney will be his T&T cohort, Tim Goldsworthy who is the sound of DFA and in his own right one of the key producers of the last ten years working non-stop with DFA artists and in particular LCD Soundsystem and other artists from around the globe such as Cut Copy on their recent smash hit LP!

If that’s not enough the trusty Warm residents themselves Ali Tillett and Rob Summerhayes will be stepping up in Room 2 to play alongside Mr Sweeney and Mr Goldsworthy.

Definitely one party not to be missed this forthcoming Bank Holiday!

Festival pranksters Sisters of the Claw return to smash up the mighty Corsica Studios with one of their on going anti club nights. Following the successes of their last visit to Corsica and their wonderful Sometimes… weekender this one is set to be a truly riotous shindig indeed.

In Room 1 expect party classics, wonky electronic dirt, and golden era hip hop from Sam zero7, Louis Slipperz and Max of the Claw

Room 2 promises plenty of treats with live gypsy jazz from The Square Pegs Trio, vintage soul, rare grooves and dirty disco from Henry zero7, JD Birch and Louis Boogie Monster.

The Ration Express will once again host the rum bar guaranteeing dressing up games and communal misbehaviour.

RUPTURE Sep 19th

Rupture returns on Saturday September 19th with a massive back 2 back 3rd birthday special.

Headlining this event we have paired up Exit Records founder, D-BRIDGE with Xtinction Agenda’s Jedi Night LOXY for a battle of the finest quality futuristic drum & bass.  Digital Soundboy’s man of the moment BREAKAGE is reunited with long time collaborator THRESHOLD for the first time since their REINFORCED EP back in 2000.

The Alliance of Science duo EQUINOX and DUB ONE, butchers of the breaks, will be providing us with their drumfunk sound and from Holland we have the rising talents JUNE MILLER and MINDMAPPER. Rounding up the main room with pure vibes will be Rupture’s head honcho’s DOUBLE O & MANTRA alongside our hard stepper residents BEKAH & PANKA. We always finish off with an oldskool set playing tribute to those original artists that are a constant inspiration to the Rupture crew and doing the honors are MAXX VINYL & NICK RASCAL coming with a 92-93 underground hardcore set.

Mindstep take over Room 2 for the first time at Rupture, bringing us their intergalactic chilled-out dubstep sounds.  BREAKAGE will also be playing an exclusive dubstep set in room 2, alongside two of Rinse FM’s veterans, SCIENTIST and DJ WONDER (house and dubstep mash up set). Joining them are Mindstep residents, CRISES, playing an across the board dubstep set and DASHA b2b with dubsteps favorite host, G DOUBLE (exclusive DJ set) …room 2 looks set to rattle the Corsica bassbins!
